IMPORTANCE OF NATIVE PLANTS

When invasive species are removed from a landscape, the bare ground is prime habitat for the species to thrive again or new species to move in. This is why native plants are so important when doing ecosystem restoration. By planting native species in areas prone to invasive species it gives the native species a jump start to out compete the invasive species. Native plants are also important to support native species in the ecosystem.
